What is Sesame Seed Oil? (Organic & Cold Pressed)

Sesame seed oil has nourishing and cleansing properties and gives your skin and hair deep care. The oil is ideal for dry skin that quickly suffers from pimples and for through and frizzy hair.

Cold-pressed Sesame Seed Oil is, as the name suggests, pressed from sesame seeds (Sesamum Indicum Seed).

Benefits

Protects and nourishes skin and hair

Cold-pressed Sesame Seed Oil is a source of Vitamin E, a natural antioxidant that helps protect skin and hair from free radicals. The oil is also rich in the fatty acid omega-6 and the minerals zinc, copper, magnesium, calcium and iron, which nourish and strengthen skin and hair. Sesame seed oil keeps skin and hair soft and supple and slows down the skin aging process through its nourishing and protective effect.

Cleanses the skin

Sesame seed oil pulls oil-soluble waste products out of the skin and is therefore ideal for skin that quickly suffers from pimples. Give your skin a thorough cleansing regularly with a mixture of 30 ml Sesame Seed Oil, 30 ml Apple Cider Vinegar in 1 the Water.

Promotes hair growth

By regularly massaging the scalp with warm Sesame Seed Oil, the blood circulation in the scalp is stimulated and the oil can absorb well into the scalp. A healthy scalp and blood circulation contribute to healthy hair growth. Additionally, Sesame seed oil is high in antioxidants that help protect hair from free radicals, UV radiation, and other stressors, which can help prevent premature graying.

With dandruff

The cleansing action of Sesame Seed Oil keeps the scalp healthy and nourished and can help prevent dandruff. Massaging the scalp with Sesame Seed Oil can also soothe the unpleasant feeling that dandruff brings.

Improves the condition of teeth and gums

Rinsing your mouth daily with Sesame Seed Oil can remove oil-soluble waste products from the oral mucosa, waste products that cannot always be removed properly by regular toothpaste and mouthwash. Rinsing your mouth with oil is an age-old tradition from Ayurveda, called 'oil pulling'. Under 'How do you use it?' you can read how this works.

How do you use it?

Use Sesame Seed Oil in your favorite DIY care products, give your scalp a deep care or use the oil to rinse your mouth.

Oil pulling met Sesamzaadolie

Before breakfast, rinse your mouth with 1 tablespoon of Sesame Seed Oil for 15 to 20 minutes. Do this, for example, before you get in the shower or get ready for work. Chew the oil well during rinsing, as this activates enzymes that support cleaning. Do not swallow the oil after flushing - it is now full of waste products - but spit it out in the trash or toilet (this will prevent your sink from getting clogged).

Then rinse your mouth well with warm water, possibly with half a teaspoon of salt added. Then brush your teeth as you always do and complete your cleaning by scraping your tongue with a tongue scraper.

Relaxing head massage

Sesame seed oil has a deep relaxing effect. Massaging the hair and scalp with the oil immediately calms you down and can also help prevent hair loss due to stress. Add a drop if necessary Ylang Ylang Essential Oil of Eucalyptus Essential Oil for an extra beneficial massage. Don't forget to massage your ears as well.

What is so special about it?

Sesame seed oil has been used in Ayurveda, an Indian way of life and medicine, for centuries as a beneficial remedy. The oil was even mentioned in the Vedas! Sesame seed oil nourishes, cares for and cleanses and is a wonderful ingredient to use in DIY care products.
