Cedarwood Essential Oil
More about cedarwood essential oil
Cedarwood essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the wood
of the cedar tree. The cedar grows in cold climates and at high altitudes, such as the Himalayas, where our cedarwood essential oil comes from. Himalayan cedarwood essential oil is slightly sweeter and has stronger middle notes than Atlas cedarwood essential oil.
Cedarwood essential oil has many applications and has a purifying effect, making the oil a good addition to impurities. Cedarwood oil is specifically suitable for high sebum production.
Cedarwood is also indispensable for healthier hair. It strengthens the hair follicles and stimulates the blood flow to your scalp, making it useful for reduced hair growth.
Usage
When using it on your skin, always dilute essential oil in a carrier oil, such as almond or jojoba oil, and do not use more than 1 - 2% (1 - 2ml essential oil per 100ml carrier oil).
Apply the oil to cleansed skin where necessary. For use on your scalp, you can also add a few drops of cedarwood essential oil to your shampoo or conditioner.
To inhale the essential oil, use it in an oil lamp/diffuser or a fragrance cube.
