What is Amyris Essential Oil?

The warm, woody scent of Amyris is reminiscent of cedarwood with an undertone of vanilla. The scent calms and calms you down in turbulent times or when you have had a long day.

Amyris Essential Oil is steam distilled from the bark of the Amyris plant. The plant belongs to the citrus family, however, the scent of Amyris is not reminiscent of citrus.

In the perfume industry and aromatherapy, Amyris is often used as a substitute for Vetiver or Sandalwood. Sometimes Amyris is even called West Indian Sandalwood. Despite the fact that Amyris Essential Oil smells distinctly different from Sandalwood, it is an ideal substitute in recipes that call for Vetiver or Sandalwood Essential Oil.

Extends the duration of fragrances

The essential oil of Amyris is also often used to preserve the scent of perfume for longer. So do you want your DIY care products to smell good for longer? Then add a small percentage of Amyris Essential Oil.

How do you use it?

Note: Amyris essential oil can be a bit viscous in cold temperatures. Heat the bottle in hot water before dripping it or use a pipette.

Meng 100 ml Fractionated Coconut Oil with 1 millilitre (1%) Amyris Essential Oil and apply to the back of your neck and under your feet after a long day. Take a deep breath in and out and feel how your emotions calm down and you come back into balance.

To vape

Combine 3 drops of Amyris Essential Oil with 3 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil in your diffuser for a calm atmosphere in your home.

Before going to bed, you can add 4 drops of Amyris Essential Oil with 1 drop Vetiver Essential Oil and 2 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil evaporate. This way you create a soft scent in the bedroom that prepares you for a wonderful night's sleep.

What is so special about it?

Amyris Essential Oil is steam distilled from the bark of the Amyris tree. The tree can grow up to eighteen meters high and has white flowers that grow into beautiful black-blue berries. Amyris originally grew in the Caribbean, where the plant was used by indigenous peoples for its calming effects.
