Sea buckthorn oil is an orange-red oil that is obtained from the berry of the sea buckthorn bush. The sea buckthorn shrub grows mainly in sunny, dry areas.

Sea buckthorn oil is a delicious, warming oil that is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E and carotenoids. The carotenoids give the beautiful orange color and, together with vitamin E, are the source of antioxidants in this oil. Because this oil has a very strong orange-red color, it is best to mix it with another carrier oil before applying it to the skin. 15% sea buckthorn oil is often enough.

The oil soothes sunburned skin, supports your skin and stimulates cell renewal. Sea buckthorn oil is also wonderful in winter for dry skin and hydrates intensively.

Usage

Apply the sea buckthorn oil where necessary to your cleansed, still damp skin for maximum care and hydration. Massage the oil into your skin until it is completely absorbed.

Sea buckthorn oil can be mixed with up to 1% essential oil for a wonderful scent and extra care, and of course used as an ingredient in a DIY body butter.

When using it before bedtime, be aware that the oil can stain light-colored sheets.
