What is Purple Corn Powder?

Purple Maize is a special maize variety that can only grow in Peru. As a powder, it is a powerful antioxidant and a colorful ingredient in care products.

Organic Purple Corn Powder (maíz morado) is naturally gluten-free and non-GMO. It grows naturally in the Andean region and was an important food for the original inhabitants of South America, such as the Incas ™and the Aztecs.

Benefits

Natural dye

Purple Corn, like blueberries and red cabbage, is high in anthocyanins, the antioxidant that gives Purple Corn its beautiful color. A spoonful of Purple Corn Powder gives your body scrub and bath bombs a magical touch.

Powerful anti-ager

Purple Corn Powder is rich in antioxidants, such as flavonoids (anthocyanin, among others), polyphenols (ferulic acid and reservatrol, among others) and carotenoids (such as beta-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin).

How do you use it?

For your skin

Use Purple Corn Powder in DIY care products as a substitute for cornmeal or corn flour (it is not a substitute for cornstarch or cornstarch), or to give your products a cheerful color.

What is so special about it?

Purple Corn can only grow in the Andes, as soon as you sow it in another area, it loses its purple color. This is because the Corn owes its purple color to the unruly conditions of the Andes at an altitude of about ™three to five kilometers. To survive, the corn needs a strong immune system, which is why it produces large amounts of antioxidants. Once the corn is placed in a calmer area, antioxidant production is no longer a priority and loses its color. The great thing is that when you use Purple Corn Powder in your care products, you also benefit from the mountains of antioxidants that the corn has produced. This also protects your body from harmful external influences.
