What is PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧-2W?

PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧-2W is a natural oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier, which helps to properly mix water and oil in skin care products. It ensures that creams and lotions get a stable, soft and easy spreadable structure without curdling.

This natural emulsifier is produced with vegetable polyglycerides and fatty acids, making it a natural and biodegradable ingredient. It does not contain synthetic substances such as PEGs ™or silicones.

PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧-2W can bind up to 22% oil and forms stable gels with a high water content, such as 95% water and 5% PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧-2W. It works well with thickeners such as Xanthan gum and remains stable.

Restores the Skin Barrier
PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧ -2W helps strengthen the skin barrier and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), keeping the skin better hydrated. By acting on the lipid layers of the skin, it supports the natural moisture balance and ensures soft, smooth and hydrated skin. This makes it very suitable for dry and sensitive skin types. This emulsifier also absorbs very well into the skin and does not leave a greasy layer.

Ensures stable emulsions
One of the main functions of PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧-2W is to stabilize oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions. This means that it mixes oil and water perfectly and prevents the phase from separating or the cream from becoming watery. This creates a homogeneous, creamy and long-lasting stable emulsion without the need for additional stabilizers.

PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧-2W can form stable emulsions with up to 95% water and only 5% emulsifier, making it ideal for:
- Light and fresh face creams and lotions
- Aqueous gels and serums that absorb quickly
- Care products with a high hydration content

This property makes it a great choice for non-greasy, well-absorbed formulas that hydrate the skin without leaving a heavy or sticky feeling.

Suitable even for the most sensitive skin
PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧-2W is non-irritating and therefore perfect for people with sensitive skin who are prone to redness or irritation. Also very suitable for baby care, such as mild creams and lotions for the skins of our smallest heroes.

It has a mild effect and does not disturb the natural balance of the skin, unlike some synthetic emulsifiers.

How to use PolyAquolâ"¢ï ̧ -2W?

This special emulsifier can be added in both the oil and water phases, at a temperature of 75°C-80°C. Add 1-5% PolyAquol, depending on your formula (3-5% in creams or lotions).

• Oil phase: 0 to 20%: the more oil, the higher the viscosity of the final product.
• Waterphase: 75 to 100%.

Stability is maintained at a pH of 4 - 9. The higher the pH value, the lower the viscosity.
