Monoï de Tahiti "sacred oil from Tahiti" has a history as rich as its fragrance and has its origins in French Polynesia. Monoi oil has been manufactured for 2000 years because of its special characteristics. In French Polynesia, the oil is sacred and is used for both skin and hair.

Official original name

Monoi de Tahiti Oil is obtained through a complex method, Enfleurage, manufactured by soaking the native flower Tiare Tahiti (Gardenia Tahitensis) in locally sourced coconut oil. The coconuts used for this must have been harvested from French Polynesia on coral soil. Only then will the oil be given the official designation of Origin. The Monoi de Tahiti Oil from Natural Heroes is manufactured in French Polynesia, contains 99% Monoi de Tahiti, carries the official designation of Origin and is free of parabens.

The 99% Monoi de Tahiti contains 1% synthetic perfume. The 100% natural Monoi gets its scent because the flowers are drawn into the coconut oil.

Usage

Skin

Monoi de Tahiti has a soothing, calming and purifying effect on the skin and provides long-lasting hydration. You can use Monoi oil as a skin oil, bath oil, massage oil and as after-sun care after sunbathing. The oil leaves a wonderful tropical floral scent on your skin.

Hair

Monoi de Tahiti is great for your hair. The oil provides a beautiful shine and reduces frizz and static hair. The deeply moisturizing oil helps with damaged hair, can reduce hair breakage by 96% and provides better hair elasticity. Apply a little melted Monoi to dry hair as a hair mask or conditioner, let it work for a while and then wash your hair with shampoo.

Tip

Like many natural oils, Monoi de Tahiti takes on a solid form under a certain temperature (24º). To liquefy the oil, you can hold the jar under the hot tap for a while. By putting the Monoï de Tahiti in the fridge, it goes back to its solid shape. Because the Monoi can melt the Tahiti in the jar, the substance can look uneven.
