Baking soda - a real all-rounder

Maybe you use baking soda in the kitchen for baking or as a natural cleaning agent, but did you know that you can also use it as an ingredient in a DIY deodorant, bath bomb or toothpaste?

Baking soda is a mineral salt compound that is 100% natural and has naturally purifying properties. Due to the high pH value, it has a cleaning effect and can also increase the PH of your homemade recipe.

How to use baking soda

Baking soda absorbs moisture and has a cleansing effect. It is therefore a great ingredient in a DIY deodorant!

You can make a bath bomb by mixing the Baking Soda with Citric Acid.

Baking soda has the property that it is very degreasing and is therefore very suitable for degreasing greasy surfaces and materials. However, you cannot use it on aluminum surfaces as this can cause rust.

Baking Soda can also be used to adjust the pH of your homemade DIY recipe. To raise the pH, mix water (90%) with 10% baking soda. You add this drop by drop to your DIY water-based cream until the desired pH is reached. The ideal skin neutral pH is around 5.5.
