What is Myrrh?

Myrrh Essential Oil is extracted from the resin of various beautiful trees or shrubs that grow around the Red Sea area. For centuries, this valuable resin has been collected and traded as Myrrh. In the past, it was widely used for all kinds of religious rituals. Nowadays, due to its warm and woody scent, it is mainly used during meditation.

How to use Myrrh Essential Oil?

Never use more than 1 - 2% essential oil and always dilute it in a carrier oil or butter. So for example 1 to 2 ml of myrrh essential oil in 100 ml of almond oil or shea butter. Apply the oil as a massage or skin oil where necessary to cleansed skin.

You can also mix a few drops into your shampoo for a wonderful scent and nourished scalp!

It is also common to evaporate a few drops of essential oil in a diffuser for a wonderfully warm feeling. It works great for meditation. The fragrance is said to evoke clarity, insight, and inner peace.
