What is Linseed Oil (Organic & Cold Pressed)?
Flaxseed oil is rich in omega-3 and makes your skin glow from the inside out. Put some of the oil over your salad, use it in DIY care products or use it as a hair mask.
Our Linseed oil is cold-pressed from linseed, the seeds of flax (Linum usitatissimum). The oil has a neutral smell and is slightly nutty in taste.
Benefits
Let your skin glow from the inside out
Flaxseed is rich in omega-3, a fatty acid that plays an important role in preventing premature skin aging. Unlike many other oils, such as sunflower oil, which mainly contain omega-6, Linseed oil consists of about 60% omega-3 fatty acids. Flaxseed oil is therefore a wonderful ingredient to increase your omega-3 intake and to nourish and radiate your skin from the inside out. In addition to slowing down skin aging, Flaxseed oil is also good for your brain, heart, blood vessels, etc.
Moisturizes and softens the skin
The essential fatty acids in Flaxseed Oil keep your skin hydrated and supple, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and signs of skin aging. In addition, the oil has soothing properties that can reduce redness.
Strengthens the hair
Flaxseed oil is high in vitamin E, which helps prevent hair loss, stimulates hair growth, and protects the hair. The nourishing properties of Flaxseed Oil contribute to strong hair and the oil is therefore ideal for dry hair and hair that breaks easily. Warm the oil in a bain-marie and give your scalp a nice massage, then distribute the oil through the rest of your hair, leave for an hour and wash your hair as you always do.
How do you use it?
In the kitchen
Flaxseed oil is great to use in dressings and sauces, but you can also add a teaspoon to your smoothie to easily enjoy the many beneficial properties of Flaxseed oil. Linseed oil is not suitable for frying, because it does not tolerate heat well.
For the face
Warm a few drops of Linseed Oil between your hands and apply to cleansed skin for deep hydration, or incorporate the oil into DIY care products.
What is so special about it?
Linseed comes from flax, one of the first crops cultivated by man. Ancient texts from 1200 BC already tell about the nutritiousness of linseed. Flaxseed is one of the richest plant sources of omega-3, a fatty acid that you need for many different body processes and makes your skin glow from the inside out.
