What is Amla Oil?

Amla Oil is also known as Indian Gooseberry Oil. It is extracted by cold pressing from the seeds of the Emblica Officinalis. The dried Amla fruit is then immersed in this oil. After a few days, the fruits are removed and the oil is filtered. This creates a doubly powerful oil!

Amla oil contains many essential fatty acids such as oleic acid and linoleic acid that provide intense hydration and protection of the skin and hair. The oil has a soothing and restorative effect and is very suitable for dry and sensitive skin or for hair care. Amla oil is especially well known in India, so it is widely used in Ayurvedic medicine.
