What is Cacay Oil?

Cacay Oil is a nourishing and protective super oil that makes your skin glow and your hair shine. This delicious oil feels light, absorbs quickly and is a luxurious addition to your beauty routine.

Cacay Oil is cold-pressed from orinoko nuts (caryodendron orinocense), which grow on the Taccy Nut Tree found in the Amazon, South America. The nuts are for sale in many local markets in South America and contribute to the economy, which is why the Taccy Nut Trees are fortunately rarely felled. Cacay Oil is also known as Kahai Oil and has a slightly nutty scent.

Benefits

Cares for and protects the skin

Cacay Oil is rich in vitamin E, a substance that is important for the production of elastin in the skin. Elastin keeps the skin firm and flexible and reduces the risk of premature signs of skin aging. In addition, vitamin E is an antioxidant, so Cacay Oil helps to protect the skin from harmful external influences.

Hyrates the skin

Cacay Oil is a semi-drying oil, which means that the oil quickly absorbs deep into the skin and provides deep, long-lasting hydration to the skin. That really makes your skin glow!

Promotes the self-healing ability of the skin

Cacay Oil contains up to three times as much Pro-Vitamin A as Rozenbottelolie. Pro-Vitamin A promotes the self-healing ability of the skin and can therefore contribute to scar reduction and the prevention of scars caused by pimples.

Reduces oily skin

If you suffer from pimples quickly, Cacay Oil can offer a solution. The oil consists of about 68% linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid that does not clog pores, but does nourish it. Because you provide the skin with a moisturizing, nourishing oil, the skin's sebum production will reduce and your skin will automatically become less oily. Goodbye clogged pores and pimples!

Cares for the hair and reduces hair loss

The high content of linoleic acid in Cacay Oil also contributes to healthy and radiant hair. Dry and damaged hair in particular can be completely restored by regularly applying a mask of Cacay Oil. The oil can also help reduce hair spout.

How do you use it?

Cacay Oil is a fine oil to use as a base oil in combination with Essential Oils. Process the oil in a DIY care product or apply directly to skin and hair. In cold temperatures, Cacay Oil can solidify or become viscous, but this can be solved by bringing the oil back to room temperature. Never heat the oil above 30 degrees Celsius, because then the beneficial substances in the oil will be lost quickly.

Hair mask of Cacay Oil

Massage the oil into towel-dried hair, from the scalp and roots to the ends. Wrap a towel around your hair and leave on for at least an hour, preferably longer. With very dry hair, you could even leave the oil on overnight. Then wash your hair the way you always would, preferably with a natural shampoo.

What is so special about it?

Cacay Oil is a real oil hero and is certainly not inferior to oils such as Argan oil, Rozenbottelolie en Temanu Oil. In fact, Cacay Oil contains about 50% more vitamin E than Argan oil and up to three times as much vitamin A as Rozenbottelolie.
