What is Bay Berry Oil?

Laurel berry oil is extracted from the berries and seeds of the Laurus Nobilis shrub. These are cleaned and cold ground or pressed. During pressing, the natural Laurel berry oil is pressed out of the berries. The ripe, black currants consist of almost 30% oil. A green, thick oil comes out of the berries, the Laurel berry oil. Laurel berry oil contains chlorophyll, which is a photosynthetic pigment, which is responsible for the green color. Laurel berry oil is a fairly thick oil and has a strong odor. The shrub is known for its skin-caring properties.

In cold temperatures, Laurel berry oil can become even more viscous and even solidify. You can then heat the Laurel Berry Oil a little so that it becomes liquid again. Note: do not heat above 30 °C, the active ingredients may lose their efficacy.

Laurel berry oil is one of the non-drying oils. This means that the oil is less likely to absorb into the skin and can leave a greasy film on the skin. A few drops are enough, so the oil is very economical to use.
