Fine sea salt
More about Fine Sea Salt
Sea salt is extracted by evaporating seawater in salt pans.
These are created shallow basins to which seawater is directed. After evaporation, the remaining salt is scooped up, ground and sieved for contaminants. This is the traditional way of extracting salt and has the advantage that smaller minerals are not lost in the process, but remain present in the final product.
Our fine sea salt comes from Portugal, where it is extracted from the lagoon of the Ria Formosa nature reserve, which is located on the Algarve coast. The salt can - of course - be used for consumption and can also be added to all kinds of care products.
Usage
Of course, you can use fine sea salt in the kitchen, just as you are used to. In addition, you can process fine sea salt in many different ways in care products. How about a delicious salt scrub, for example? To do this, mix 200 grams of fine sea salt with 50 ml of carrier oil (e.g. sweet almond oil, jojoba oil or coconut oil) and add a few drops of essential oil (e.g. lavender, manuka or lemongrass). For a more thorough scrub - to tackle your legs and feet, for example - you can replace half of the salt with coarse sea salt. In addition to scrubs, you can also use fine sea salt in a shampoo or in a salt spray.
