What is ashwagandha?
Ashwagandha is a traditional plant species primarily found in India and has been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda, a traditional medicine system.
The roots of Ashwagandha contain various alkaloids, including the main component: withanolides (standardized at 2.5%). These are steroids with a similar effect to Panax Ginseng, which is why Ashwagandha is also referred to as Indian ginseng.
The effects of ashwagandha are not very well proven in scientific research, but there are numerous positive experiences with ashwagandha among both athletes and individuals who simply want to improve their well-being.
Is ashwagandha dangerous?
When purchasing ashwagandha, you want to ensure that you choose an extract with a sufficiently high dosage. Research has shown that a dosage of approximately 500 milligrams of ashwagandha is completely safe and more effective than 250 milligrams. Using ashwagandha at this recommended dosage has no disadvantages or side effects and is not dangerous to take. Ashwagandha can be used by both men and women.
Usage and dosage
Each capsule contains 500mg of ashwagandha powder and is preferably taken with a meal.
Due to the veggie caps, the product is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
